And now for the good news...

In a recent report, the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago revealed that 1,869 African-Americans earned doctorates in 2004, resulting in a 9 percent increase over 2003. In 2004, African-Americans made up 7.2 percent of all doctorates awarded to American citizens, an all-time high. Read the full report at this link here.
